About Beth
Beth Lane is an Associate Broker with Metropolitan Real Estate. Since beginning her career as a Realtor in 1994, Beth has consistently received awards as a “Distinguished Achiever” from the Richmond Association of Realtors. She also has been in the top 1% of sales at Metropolitan Real Estate for the last 15 years and is the recipient of an Emerald Award for sales in 2019. In 2007, she acquired her Associate Brokers License as well as receiving her GRI designation from the Graduate Realtor Institute. Beth continues to be recognized by Richmond Magazine as being a Five Star Professional. In 2018 , Beth began the privilege of serving a three year term on the Board of Directors at the Richmond Association of Realtors. Additionally, Beth not only served as President of the Board of Directors at the Westwood Club in 2019 but implemented a 3.5 million dollar outdoor renovation. Most recently, Beth was awarded as an honoree of the 2020 Richmond Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence.
Beth began representing Colonial Homecrafters, Ltd in the construction of custom homes in the prestigious neighborhoods of Foxhall and Riverlake Colony. Beth has represented an EarthCraft Home certified builder which has allowed her to have a stronger expertise in green building. Serving on the Legislative and Education Committees at the Richmond Association of Realtors has allowed Beth to stay abreast of the latest developments impacting the real estate industry. Beth’s professionalism and expertise in the market combined with her vast network of professionals in the banking, real estate and construction industry allow her to deliver superior service. Whether listing her clients’ homes for sale, finding the perfect home, relocation, or new home construction sales, she has the expertise to make it happen.
Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Beth graduated from The Collegiate School in 1979; she then attended the College of William and Mary and transferred to the Medical College of Virginia to pursue a degree in Nursing. Beth received her degree in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1984. After receiving her degree in nursing Beth went on to practice as a registered nurse at the Medical College of Virginia in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Her true love for nursing was discovered in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit where she worked at both MCV and Henrico Doctors’ Hospital. Even though she practices real-estate on a full time basis, she continues to keep her registered nursing license active in the State of Virginia.
Beth is the mother of five children, Will, Madelyn, Joe, Libby and Jack whose ages range from fifteen to thirty- three. Her grandchildren, Ellie, Caden , Hunter and sweet baby Hadley, range in ages from 4 years to 4 months. She loves tennis and competes in the USTA and suburban tennis leagues. Some of her other interests include reading, actively engaging in her children’s lives, staging and decorating homes.
